It is a great honour and privilege to serve as Captain of Rathsallagh Golf & Country Club for the

year ahead. I am extremely proud to represent such a exceptional club and a membership that

is widely known for its friendliness, sportsmanship and an everlasting passion for the game.

I am delighted to share this role alongside our Lady Captain, Julie Foyle, our President, Philip

Myerscough and our Junior Captain, Georgia Myerscrough. together we look forward to what

promises to be an enjoyable and memorable year for all aspects of the club.

Rathsallagh is truly a unique place to play golf. Nestled in the beautiful Wicklow countryside, the

course offers an enjoyable yet challenging test for golfers of all abilities. The outstanding

condition of the course is a credit to the dedication and hard work of our Course Superintendent,

Barry Kavanagh, our greens staff and the many people who work behind the scenes to maintain

the exceptional standards we all appreciate.

Our club is fortunate to have such wonderful support from its owners whose continued

commitment ensures that Rathsallagh remains one of Ireland’s most welcoming and enjoyable

golfing destinations.

We are also extremely fortunate to have the expertise and support of our Director of golf, Ted

Higgins, along with the dedication of General Manager, Vera Brennan and their team, who play

such an important role in the day-to-day running of the club and in creating the welcoming

atmosphere that members and visitors alike enjoy.

Rathsallagh is more than just a golf course — it is a community. Throughout the year we are

lucky to enjoy a vibrant schedule of competitions and social occasions that bring members

together both on and off the course. After a round of golf, members and visitors can also enjoy

the wonderful hospitality of the clubhouse, including the excellent dining experience at the

award-winning Albatross Restaurant by Rodolfo Riojas.

Finally, I would like to thank our committees, volunteers and staff whose time, effort and

dedication help make Rathsallagh the unique place that which it is.

I wish all our members the very best of luck with their golf in the year ahead and hope that

everyone enjoys many memorable days on the fairways of Rathsallagh.
